A while ago, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has on Saturday expressed grief over the murder of 43 farmers in Jere Local government area of Borno state by Boko Haram insurgents.
The Nigerian president, Buhari who condemned the gruesome murder in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said that the government has given all the needed support to the armed forces to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory.
Further describing the attack as insane Buhari said the entire country was hurt by the senseless killings.
“I condemn the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State. The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief. May their souls Rest In Peace,” Buhari said.
Earlier on Saturday, a report by Human Angle revealed that the Boko Haram insurgents beheaded 43 farmers at Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
President Buhari said the government had given all the needed support to the armed forces “to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory.”
